Skyway, San Francisco Oakland Bay Bridge

The Skyway portion of the new Bay Bridge consists of two 1.6 mile long precast segmental viaduct structure with typical spans of 525 feet. SPS Engineers, as part of TYLin/Moffat Nichol team, provided independent check design services for the Skyway including the nonlinear pushover analysis of the piles and pile cap system. The firm also provided construction support including coordination with multi-discipline design team members, Cal-trans, and the Contractor.
