BART Aerial Girders Systemwide Inspection

SPS Engineers, along with WSP, is performing a study of the bearing pads in the BART Aerial structures for their remaining useful life. The study includes field inspections and analysis of selected structures to assess the extent of deterioration in the bearing pads and the potential effect on the supported aerial girders due to conditions of these pads. SPS Engineers has also provided inspection manual and conceptual jacking design for bearing pad replacement.
